Q: What’s wrong with your typical “fat burners”!

Mon, 03/15/2010 - 23:29

Answer: They Increase Cortisol...

Every fat burner on the market today (and probably the one you are taking) tells you to take capsule tablets (or a liquid) multiple times a day-and it will “Boost your metabolism”.
These products contain mostly stimulants that speed up your heart rate, and cause a crash feeling at the end.
The end result of taking these is that cortisol levels rise. Cortisol is great for chubby chasers, but bad news if you want to actually burn fat.

Good point we all need less stress. The stimulating causes the body to go into the fight or flight response, first producing adrenalin then eventually cortisol. This is not necessarily bad if you take it right before you workout right?? But all day. Come on enough already!

I don't know much about Cortisol, but isn't that naturally found in the body when you are stressed? Why would you want your fat burner to keep you in a constant state of stress? Doesn't life do enough of that? I like that this one is only once a day. Thanks!
