Could your fat burner be nearly 2 years old?
Yes, your supplements could be two years old by the time you take them.
Think about it.
The raw materials are produced (6 months)
They are then purchased by a manufacturer, and sit there till they are sold to a “Brand” (3 Months)
The brand then sends an order, and the manufacture makes it (3 Months is the average lead time)
You are at a year already. And the product isn't in your hands yet!
Then the Brand delivers it to the distributor (2 months)
Then the distributor to retailer (2 months)
This is when you by it.
That is, conservatively speaking, 16 months.
Who wants products almost 2 years old?
This time-line is shocking! Once the product does finally arrive at the store, I'm sure the new stock gets rotated to the back of the shelf which even increases the possibility that I'm purchasing the oldest possible contents. Makes me wonder exactly how much of the product's integrity was lost in transition.
Thanks for the info. I just checked my med cabinet and I have some Way over the Hill tablets.
Maybe I'm naive, but I never imagined it could take that long and frankly, be that old by the time it hit my cupboard at home. So actually from what Brian writes, a lot of these things could be way expired by the time I get them home because the preservatives are exhausted. YUCK! Yes, fresh is better! Thanks for the informative read.
Think about it most preservatives only work for about 2 years.....
This is very eye-opening. What kinds of preservatives do you suppose we are putting into our bodies when we purchase something like this? The healthiest ingredients are always the freshest!
