Pharmagenx 8 Step Method to Finding Premium Quality Sports Nutrition Products!

With the advent of the sports players testing positive for banned substances and product recalls being at an all time high, I have to ask the question.

Do you really know what’s in your sports nutrition products??

We know what is in ours.

This is our 8 step process to assure what is on our label is in our products – and that they will do what they say they will!

1. Formulation: Theorizing what will work through.  Determination of Actives, Combination, Effective dosage/serving.
2. Delivery system: Getting it into the body; Powder, pill, liquid, capsule, this is very important for absorbability, and long term product stability.
3. Sourcing: Choosing Quality suppliers: Through quality testing of actives and inspection of there facility, to be cGMP compliant.
4. Prototyping; Engineering the formula: I.e. excipients, flavors, sweeteners, emulsifiers, solubilizers, serving size, packaging, assembly procedures etc.
5. Scale up:  Validating formula: This is a small batch done from the approved prototype formulation with production equipment.  Testing to validate formula calculations to achieve label claim is done at this point.  This point may be repeated time and time again until the formula is validated it will meet the claims on the label
6. Case Studies: Testing the formula. Once the formula is validated we start performing small case studies to test to products effects.  If the product is determined to be quality, effective and user friendly we then start producing it on larger volumes.
7. On going quality: Further testing. What is on the label is in the product! A testing program (I prefer third labs they tend to be more up to date with reference standards) to assure the potency of each batch.
   1. Pharmagenx products are regularly tested for the following

i.      Micro bacteriological free

ii.      Validation of label amounts.

iii.      Low levels or non detectable levels of one or all of the following

1.  Heavy metals (As, Cd, Hg, Pb).

2.  PCB’s, dioxin’s &  furan’s (if applicable)

3.  If applicable we may periodically test for absence of banned substances on IOC list and other lists.

iv.      Taste, and fragrance

v.      Dissolution if applicable and other standard tests like bulk density etc.

vi.      Specific gravity

vii.      pH

1. More testing: What it says it does it really does! On going testing on subjects either directly or through third parties to show our formulation works.
